Broadcasting Act  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague from Peace River—Westlock for his speech, in which he spoke about the importance of local content and a strong regional press. During the pandemic, my colleague from Drummond and I have met with local media representatives and representatives from a co-operative radio station.

Health  Madam Speaker, the federal government failed to quickly procure COVID-19 vaccines for Quebec. In other words, the pandemic is going to last longer than it should. That is bad news for everyone, but especially for seniors. They are the ones who would have been vaccinated by now, but Quebec was forced to slow down its vaccination campaign in seniors' residences since it has nothing to inject them with.

Seniors  Madam Speaker, we look forward to seeing the schedule and plans. As the pandemic drags on, seniors have been isolated in their homes for 11 months, unable to see loved ones. The virus is obviously a threat to their physical health, but the isolation is taking a toll on their mental health, as well as their financial health.

Broadcasting Act  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for her comments on Bill C-10. She said herself that the act is being modernized at the expense of francophone communities. The other member who spoke just now also mused on the importance of “discoverability” for francophone culture. What does my colleague think of the Bloc Québécois's more specific proposal to allocate 40% of the fees collected from online distributors to the creation and production of francophone content?

Canada Labour Code  Mr. Speaker, today, I will speak to Bill C-220, an act to amend the Canada Labour Code, and more specifically compassionate care leave. As the Bloc Québécois critic for status of women and seniors, this is a subject that people come to me about on a regular basis. I will therefore talk about three aspects of it.

The bill seeks to implement certain provisions of the November 30, 2020, economic statement and other measures. I basically want to talk about three things.

Canada—United Kingdom Trade Continuity Agreement Implementation Act  Madam Speaker, I would like to hear my colleague briefly comment on what seems to be a recurring issue with the Liberals, namely a lack of transparency, as we saw with this agreement and also the WE scandal and vaccines. I would like her to briefly comment on the Liberals' dangerous tendency of not being upfront with Canadians.

Canada-United Kingdom Trade Continuity Agreement Implementation Act  Mr. Speaker, my colleague spoke a lot about our fishery resources in his speech. However, one specific sector in Quebec has often been neglected under the last few trade agreements. I am talking about the agricultural sector and the breaches in supply management. The three most recent trade agreements opened up breaches in the supply management system.

Canada-United Kingdom Trade Continuity Agreement Implementation Act  Mr. Speaker, I would like to continue along these lines. We have been talking about the issues that an independent Quebec would face, but what about all the issues that Canada currently does not address in international agreements to the detriment of Quebec?

Economic Statement Implementation Act, 2020  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague from Saanich—Gulf Islands, who cares a lot about social justice and wants everyone to do their part so that we can reinvest in programs to help those who need it most. Social justice and investments in social programs to help people are all good things, but we also need to track our public finances.

Economic Statement Implementation Act, 2020  Madam Speaker, my colleague mentioned two things that resonated with me as the Bloc Québécois critic for seniors. First, he stated that national standards are necessary and essential. We would like to remind the government that caring for seniors requires money, not national standards.
