Temporary Foreign Workers  Mr. Speaker, more than 200 Quebec farmers are still waiting for foreign workers to arrive in order to harvest their crops. At present, 1,000 workers are required. In my riding alone, Les Frères Riopel family farm has lost almost $5,000 in crops to date, and it is not the only one.

Privilege  Mr. Speaker, yes, that is right. I would ask you to note that we would like to take part in the debate and we will add our remarks to the important issue raised by my colleague.

Business of Supply  Mr. Speaker, the members who spoke earlier mentioned the debate that took place back in the day as to whether the Bloc Québécois had the right to sit in the House. I was therefore saying that millions of Quebeckers have voted for the Bloc Québécois over the past 25 years. I would also like to point out to my colleagues that, at one time, the Bloc Québécois was the official opposition.

Business of Supply  Mr. Speaker, my colleague's question allows me to continue my response to the member for Louis-Saint-Laurent. Following his logic, members who belong to a political party that finds itself in the minority in the House should not have the same rights, as parliamentarians and legislators, as the other legislators who belong to larger caucuses.

Business of Supply  Mr. Speaker, in Quebec, when it came time to propose a model, people suggested duplicating the federal ridings. For example, they proposed electing 75 riding members and 50 members chosen from a list. People thought that this was entirely legitimate and everyone would be pleased.

Business of Supply  Mr. Speaker, I thank the member for Vancouver Kingsway for sharing his time with me. First of all, I cannot ignore the remarks made by the member for Sarnia—Lambton, which, in the context of this morning's fully transpartisan debate, were disgraceful to say the least. Let me remind the hon. member of two things.

Points of Order  Mr. Speaker, in light of the statements made during question period, I am sure that if you were to ask all parties in the House about membership of the electoral reform committee, people would give the Green Party and the Bloc Québécois the right to participate and vote. I would like to move the following motion: “That the participation of the Bloc Québécois and the Green Party be governed by the same provisions governing all other members and include the right to vote”.

Criminal Code  Mr. Speaker, if I have 10 minutes to respond, I will respond to each of the questions. My colleague is confusing passion with partisanship. My comments go well beyond partisanship, and at this stage, I have just indicated that my party will never lend its support to such a bad bill.
