Canadian Net-Zero Emissions Accountability Act  Madam Speaker, I congratulate my colleague on her excellent speech. The Liberals have said that they are open, but unfortunately I have come to the same conclusion as my colleague. This bill contains nothing but rhetoric and would not accomplish much, which is unfortunately not uncommon for the Liberals.

Supply Management  Mr. Speaker, now is the moment of truth. The Bloc Québécois has introduced a bill to prevent any further breaches in supply management. Farmers are watching us. They saw the House unanimously adopt motions where all parliamentarians supported fully maintaining supply management.

Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Act  Mr. Speaker, it is very hard to deliver a speech and follow a written text when so many people are speaking very loudly all around. I have been wanting to say that for a long time. This is a sensitive topic, and that made it even more difficult. I think this is an important cause, and the fact that people are chatting while we are having this debate speaks to what the other parties really think.

Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Act  Mr. Speaker, it is already a challenge for me to not go over my allotted time. I will try to give my speech in six minutes, knowing that I will have the remaining four minutes another day. I am going to address everyone. This is the moment of truth. This is the time for action.

Agriculture and Agri-Food  Mr. Speaker, our farmers cannot count on the federal government. It promised them it would protect supply management, but it sacrificed them for three agreements in a row. Then it promised full compensation for their losses. The dairy sector got a cheque in 2019, but there has been nothing since.

Agriculture and Agri-Food  Mr. Speaker, we want details and a timeline. Farmers cannot count on the federal government. That is why we need to make supply management inviolable so it will never again be used as a bargaining chip for trade agreements. The Bloc Québécois introduced a bill to prevent any further attacks on supply management.

Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act  Madam Speaker, I would like to acknowledge farmers for their hard work and day in, day out dedication. Every day, from dawn to dusk, these people are out in nature working the fields. If anyone in Quebec and Canada cares about protecting the environment, it is farmers. I take my hat off to them.

Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act  Madam Speaker, I commend my colleague for his speech and his comments. I would like him to tell us what proportion of greenhouse gas emissions are actually produced by the fuel sector, such as propane and natural gas, in comparison with other sectors. The Bloc Québécois thinks that we really need to focus our work on transforming western Canada's entire energy sector.

Judges Act  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for his speech. I think that all of my colleagues will agree that this bill is critically important for protecting victims and improving our justice system. I would like my colleague to reassure members and the public regarding some of the criticism of this bill.

Canada Pharmacare Act  Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague for his speech. The Government of Quebec has decided that it does not want to be part of a Canada-wide pharmacare system. Does my colleague acknowledge that Quebec society is more advanced than any other North American society when it comes to family policies, access to post-secondary education, taxation and pharmacare?

Broadcasting Act  Madam Speaker, I want to show good faith. We are pleased that there has been some movement here. This is a first step. However, the most logical and simplest first step in my mind would be to require these companies to collect taxes. We are able to do so in Quebec. How is the federal government unable to do that?

Agriculture and Agri-Food  Madam Speaker, we keep getting the same answers. Agricultural co-operatives had a good program, the deferred tax program, which helped them access capital to reinvest in their businesses. This program expires at the end of the year, and the government refuses to tell the Standing Committee on Finance whether it plans to renew it.

Agriculture and Agri-Food  Madam Speaker, week after week, I rise in the House to call for farmers to get the compensation that Ottawa promised after betraying them in free trade agreements. Week after week, the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food tells me that it is coming. The weeks have now become two years.

Business of Supply  Mr. Speaker, we have been very patient since this morning, but we are tired of hearing that it was not the federal government’s fault. Something happened in 1970, and human rights were violated. They are claiming that it was requested by Quebec. Is this a federal law or not? I would like our colleague to talk about that.

Intergovernmental Relations  Mr. Speaker, the 497 arrests during the October crisis were not just immoral and violent, but also illegal. That is what the IRAI demonstrated in a study published this morning. After the order that enacted the measures written in English only, the legislation would be illegal and in violation of at least 12 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
