Criminal Code  Madam Speaker, it is true that all Canadians deserve respect and protection, and members of the LGBTQ2 community, of course, deserve this protection. Conversion therapy is reprehensible, and it should be outlawed. Earlier this year, the justice department put some language on its website that adds greater clarity.

Public Safety  Mr. Speaker, I would like to congratulate the member on his cottage. I mean no disrespect to him, but I imagine it might not be quite apples to apples with that of the former finance minister, Mr. Morneau. It is interesting that the member talks about the establishment of the Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner.

Public Safety  Mr. Speaker, it is a pleasure to have the opportunity this evening to raise a few issues and give the government an opportunity to respond. We have seen a theme since the 2015 election among the Liberals and the Prime Minister, and the company they keep. We can break down the company they keep into two categories.

Ethics  Mr. Speaker, there we have it. There is going to be no end to the filibuster. The Liberals are not going to end their cover-up. They will stop at nothing to prevent these documents from coming to light. Even in the middle of a pandemic, they want to plunge Canadians into an election.

Ethics  Mr. Speaker, for over 15 hours Liberals at the ethics committee have filibustered and blocked the production of WE documents. They have read the newspaper. They have given us a philosophy lesson and they have read letters. It has all been a little much. All of this is a desperate attempt to cover up corruption and hide these documents from Canadians.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, the member for Winnipeg Centre offered a very important example of contrast. Members will recall the minister who the member referenced. I believe there was a massive scandal over a $16 glass of orange juice. What happened? We do not see that member here anymore.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, the same question could be put to the member opposite. We get one thing from those Liberals. We will stop asking questions about corruption if the Liberals stop breaking the law. We have had multiple findings of ethical law-breaking by the front bench of the Liberals time and time again: forgotten French villas, clam scam, billionaire island.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, it is tough to say why the member for Winnipeg North persists that the only way to do things in the House is the Liberals' way. The government forgets that Canadians shortened its leash in 2019. They took away the Liberal majority for many of the issues I have highlighted today.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I will be sharing my time with the hon. member for Red Deer—Lacombe. We find ourselves here today addressing a persistent problem with these Liberals. I was elected in 2018 and my first committee assignment was on the justice committee. The expectation was that, with the agenda set for the spring session prior to an election, it would be a good opportunity for me to learn about how committees operate.

Ethics  Mr. Speaker, the Prime Minister has shown that he will stop at nothing to protect his secrets. That is why we had the cover-up prorogation. That is why we have had days and days of filibustering, with Liberal members reading newspapers and PCO memos into the record, trying to put us to sleep.

Judges Act  Madam Speaker, I rise on a point of order. The member is making repeated reference to Bill C-5. I wonder if, even though the rules of relevance are loosely applied in this place, we ought to speak to the bill that we are debating. We are talking about Bill C-3. We have heard a lot about Bill C-5, so if the member does not want other members to speak to it, perhaps he could actually speak to Bill C-3.

Judges Act  Madam Speaker, I am glad to hear that the member is an admirer of my work. I encourage him to enjoy any of the debates that I have participated and that he has not heard either on ParlVu or in Hansard. I was not here in 2017, but I am here now. I was elected in 2018 and again in 2019.

Judges Act  Madam Speaker, it is frankly disappointing to hear those comments from the member. Anyone who spends any amount of time in this place knows that he spends more time here. He is here all the time. I hope he would understand the importance of debate, speaking to the issues and hearing different perspectives.

Judges Act  Madam Speaker, it is a pleasure to rise today to continue the discussion on Bill C-3, an act to amend the Judges Act and the Criminal Code. I am going to start where the member for Battlefords—Lloydminster left off. She did an excellent job on speaking to the issue. However, the questions that followed from the government were not about the importance of the discussion about sexual violence, sexual harassment or the contents of the bill.

Public Safety  Mr. Speaker, the Prime Minister should hope that Canadians do not judge him by the company that he keeps. He is just the latest Liberal with worrisome ties to the Chinese Communist Party: Chan, Peschisolido, Barton, McCallum. These latest bad actors operating their illegal casino in Markham, just like the ones arrested this weekend in B.C., are helping arrest protesters in Hong Kong, but do not worry, they have donated millions of dollars to the Trudeau Foundation.
