Health committee  Thank you. Given emerging data on the reduction and immunity associated with the Pfizer vaccine, perhaps I'll direct the question to Mr. Stewart. Is your department potentially going to give any advice on changing the dosing interval for the Pfizer vaccine in terms of the dosing delay of a maximum of four months?

Health committee  For those Canadians who will have had a four-month dosing delay on the Pfizer vaccine, are you looking into the potential need for an additional dose of that vaccine for those persons beyond dose one and dose two?

Health committee  In this context, when you're talking about boosters, I am asking, will the same dose of the vaccine—the same formula, or whatever—potentially be needed more than twice in a patient who has had a four-month dosing interval of the Pfizer vaccine in Canada?

Health committee  Lucas, studies are emerging expressing concerns relating to waning immunity with extended dosing intervals, particularly in relation to the Pfizer vaccine. Have you given the government any advice regarding Canadians' requiring three doses of vaccines due to extended dosing intervals?

Health  No other country is separating doses by four months, only Canada because he did not get us enough vaccines. Fact, only 2% of Canadians are fully vaccinated. Fact, only 5% were fully vaccinated by the end of January. That is his partisan fault. Enough with the partisan games. He did not get us these vaccines and now we are in the third wave.

Health  Unlike in the U.S. and the U.K., on January 15 federal Liberals announced major problems with vaccine delivery, and acute shortage persisted until February 18. That meant that from January 15 to February 18, only 320,000 people in Ontario were vaccinated. However, with enough vaccines, 100,000 people per day, or 2.8 million, could have been vaccinated in Ontario.

Business of Supply  I am disappointed that front-line ICU workers are facing a third wave and shortage of staff because we did not have vaccines in January and February. I am disappointed that small businesses, that employees across the country have no line of sight on reopening. I am disappointed that people who have been separated from loved ones for over a year cannot see each other because they do not have a line of sight on vaccines.

Business of Supply  That is just the reality. Over a year into the pandemic, when the CDC is releasing guidelines on what fully vaccinated persons can do or is talking about how lockdowns are going to be permanently restricted, we are having to enact more because we have not deployed those tools. We need to shift the narrative.

Public Services and Procurement  Mr. Speaker, the fact is that Canada has not produced a single dose of vaccine domestically. By now, we should be producing enough vaccine to supply our own population, as the Americans and Brits are. Instead, the federal Liberals have failed and put countries, such as India, that are facing a third wave in the impossible situation of sending a G7 country vaccines despite needing to vaccinate their own countrymen.

Health committee  Do you think that perhaps helped compliance with the stay-at-home measures, and then subsequently with a desire for vaccination?

Health committee  With the few remaining seconds I have left, I do want to congratulate Slovakia for your excellent work. Once I am fully vaccinated and travel is safe, I certainly look forward to visiting your beautiful country and seeing friends and family there again, so congratulations. I think there are a lot of best practices we can take as a country from your efforts in rapid testing.

Health  We could have stopped the first wave if he had gotten us vaccines in January and February, but he did not. Why?
