Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I appreciate my colleague's comments. We know how much the sponsorship scandal impacted Canadians over the years. Now we see the in and out scandal, as we call it, on the part of the Conservatives. Does the member feel that it is time that we put more honesty in government?

Political Financing  Mr. Speaker, the Conservatives are defending themselves by accusing the other parties of doing the same thing. Yet only the Conservatives have been charged. Only the Conservatives transferred national advertising expenses to the ridings. Only the Conservatives set up a scheme to get around election spending limits and only Conservative strategists are facing jail time.

Taxation  Mr. Speaker, when Canadians are late with their taxes, they do not get a break; they get a fine. But GVA does not, a company that flooded Canadian markets with candy-flavoured cigarillos aimed at our youth. GVA owes Revenue Canada $20 million in export taxes since 2006. It used that money to lower the cost of their deadly product.

Agent Orange  Mr. Speaker, we recently learned that Agent range was used near Hearst in the 1950s. Unwitting forestry workers, summer students and 17-year-old forest rangers were being sprayed with a dioxin that is responsible for all kinds of adverse health effects. Ontario is calling on the federal government to contact other provinces and territories to determine if Agent Orange was used in their jurisdictions as well.

Strengthening Aviation Security Act  Mr. Speaker, I have a couple of questions for my colleague. First, is she dismayed by the fact that there is hardly anyone from the opposition and government benches asking questions on such an important bill? This bill would take the rights of citizens away. The second is I simply want to know if she is in agreement with this.

Energy Prices  Mr. Speaker, gas prices hit $1.30 this weekend in northern Ontario, based on speculation that unrest in Libya would disrupt oil supplies. Despite the fact that Libya produces less than 4% of the world's oil, prices have jumped more than 10% at the pumps. For consumers, it is a one-way street with a hill that keeps getting steeper, especially in northern Ontario.

Strengthening Aviation Security Act  Mr. Speaker, I would like to add something to the discussion. One of the testimonies was from Roch Tassé, the national coordinator for the International Civil Liberties Monitoring Group. He talked about the fact that this is not just about the personal information of Canadians, but the impact on businesses as well.

Strengthening Aviation Security Act  Mr. Speaker, my colleague was not quite finished his thought and I am hoping he will finish the thought. I see this over and over again. We have seen it in the House. The Bloc members were actually not supporting this legislation initially and all of a sudden they have changed their minds.

Strengthening Aviation Security Act  Mr. Speaker, this is interesting because the member just mentioned the fact that people already fill out the information, but they do it because they want to, not because they do not know they are actually doing it. If I want to order something on the Internet, it is my will to provide that information.

Strengthening Aviation Security Act  Mr. Speaker, let me clarify this again because the member mentioned about going to the United States border. Why would the United States have to have our information when we are flying over but not landing in the United States? That is the number one question. The number two question is, does the member believe the United States would not allow these flights to land, or even to fly over the U.S., if it did not get the information?

Strengthening Aviation Security Act  Mr. Speaker, I listened intently to the conversation that has taken place, the speech by my colleague and the question posed. When Liberals were speaking to the bill, one would think they were opposed to the bill. They were saying it imposed on the private information of people, yet they are saying they are going to support it.

Strengthening Aviation Security Act  Mr. Speaker, I am sure my colleague has a few more things to say on this subject and I will give her that opportunity. This is exactly what she indicated. Every Canadian's blood should boil over this issue because it is really intrusive. Imagine three travellers being told at an airport that one of them is unable to board the flight.

Strengthening Aviation Security Act  Mr. Speaker, my colleague is absolutely right. There are serious concerns about this legislation. At committee the International Civil Liberties Monitoring Group said that after running a risk assessment for each passenger using data-mining technology, homeland security in turn issues a boarding pass result to the airline.

Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Region of Northern Ontario Act  Madam Speaker, as my previous colleague mentioned, this is basically the same bill he tabled in the House. We certainly support this bill. The member mentioned a while ago how the NDP brought down the government, but the government really brought itself down. It was the people of Canada who decided they did not want the Liberals in power.

Petitions  Mr. Speaker, I am pleased to present a petition submitted by Louise Lamontagne of Kapuskasing. This petition has been signed by hundreds of people from Kapuskasing, Moonbeam, Fauquier and Timmins. They are petitioning the Minister of Health to have chronic cerebrospinal venous Insufficiency surgery, also known as the Zamboni treatment or liberation therapy, made available in Canada to people who suffer from multiple sclerosis.
