Public Safety committee  I think the key aspects are that the pace of change in technology is accelerating right now, so I think what we're going through.... For example, on quantum, we're working on this on a number of fronts. First of all, we do have a duty to protect the Government of Canada's most sensitive information, and so we're preparing for that future as well.

Public Safety committee  Really, when we're talking about a billion malicious actions, we're talking about the gamut, all the way from people poking at our systems, looking to see where they're vulnerable, up to people trying to compromise or install malicious software called malware, or basically exploit any vulnerability that exists.

Public Safety committee  Just building on that, I think some of the key points are that the cyber-techniques are within the reach of anybody, and that's more a result of the resilience level that we all face. There are simple actions we've been trying to promote that we can all take to make ourselves more resilient against any sort of actor, because to your point, no matter who they are, cyber-techniques are within their reach.
