Government Accountability  Mr. Speaker, it is unfortunate that the Conservatives are politicizing an important matter that is before the courts. The only engagement I had with Irving Shipbuilding during the period in question was being copied on a letter sent to two other ministers. My job as Treasury Board president includes expenditure review and due diligence to ensure the integrity of government contracting.

Government Accountability  Mr. Speaker, I thank the hon. member for Ottawa—Vanier for her question. Over the last three years we have made real progress on open government. I am proud that yesterday the Open Data Barometer ranked Canada number one in the world, saying that our efforts are raising the bar, and how consistent political backing has been one of the keys to our success.
