Supply  The Liberals cannot go to the Canadian public and say: "Sorry that is just the way it is" yet pretend, give speeches, go on CBC and CTV News saying: "We have all the money we need for it". The minister said that today. I hope they show a clip of that on the national news tonight. There are a lot of people, a lot of taxpayers who know that is absolute fantasy.

Department Of Canadian Heritage Act  Bill C-53 will create a ministry comprised of all the odds and ends of the government intervention in Canadian culture under a minister whose sole responsibility is to dole out handfuls of cash to whichever groups the Liberal government has decided to favour. The scope of this ministry would be large and sprawling with at least 24 areas of responsibility that include-now hang on to your hats: the Canada Council; the CBC; Telefilm Canada; the Museum of Civilization across the river; the Museum of Nature; and the CRTC which I have spoken about.

Committees Of The House  For two and a half years it has done nothing to work toward its goal of a simplified system of taxation, more equitable, more efficient. As a rookie MP, I am very disappointed. If you stand up today and say something and you get your chance to do it two and a half years later and you do not do it, is power that corrupting?

Canadian Wheat Board Act  In a nutshell those are the two proposals which were outlined in the background paper given to the committee and to MPs who were interested in Bill C-92. I will now comment on how the Liberals are trying to rig the entire system in order to keep the Canadian Wheat Board as a monopoly seller even though it is really no longer practical or viable.
