Foreign Affairs committee  Thank you. The Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that the explosion at the Gaza hospital was “illegal”. In other words, it was counter to international law. What did the Government of Canada mean by that?

Foreign Affairs committee  That's what logically those two statements combined would lead one to conclude. That's why I asked what the Government of Canada meant when it said that the explosion at the Gaza hospital was illegal.

Foreign Affairs committee  Agreed, but I'm wondering, in light of that, if the department or the minister will issue a clarification to her assertion that the explosion at the Gaza hospital was illegal.

Foreign Affairs  Will the government clearly state that the Israel Defence Forces and the State of Israel were not responsible for the explosion at the hospital in Gaza on Tuesday?

Canadian Heritage committee  The request to this committee is that we have the opportunity to speak to CBC's leadership and understand why they've been giving the direction that they've been giving, why they've been presenting the misleading and false information that they've been presenting. They falsely claimed that the explosion was the result of Israel's purposely attacking the hospital. They falsely reported that it killed hundreds, and they falsely used B-roll to show dead bodies being removed from a hospital and the wounded being cared for.

Foreign Affairs  Speaker, the government is saying that it has not been briefed on verified intelligence confirmed by the President of the United States that has led to the retraction of media reports around the world about yesterday's explosion by IRGC-backed terrorists, who killed innocent civilians in Gaza. After eight years, is the relationship with our closest allies, our Five Eyes partners, so damaged that they do not even share with Canada what they have already told the rest of the world?

Situation in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank  For me that means two things: bringing our people home and keeping our country free from the hateful rhetoric and violence that flourishes anywhere and everywhere whenever we pit one community against another. I have been horrified by the explosion of hate here in Canada and around the world; in Germany there are apartment buildings where Jewish people live that were marked with a star of David, a horrific echo of Nazi persecution; in Australia, a crowd of so-called protesters shouted “Gas the Jews” over and over again, and in the United States, a Palestinian boy, a boy just six years old, was fatally stabbed 26 times.

Despite its commitments to marine conservation, the federal government is supporting the development of the offshore oil industry and authorizing drilling projects in the very marine refuges it created.

Canada—Newfoundland and Labrador Atlantic Accord Implementation Act  Accidents will happen, too, and spills have extremely serious ecological consequences, as we saw with the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion in April 2010. Need I also remind the House that regular activity alone brings dangerous pollution levels for wildlife? Despite its commitments to marine conservation, the Liberal government is supporting the development of the offshore oil industry and authorizing drilling projects in these marine refuges.

Natural Resources committee  This is happening because the hotter and drier the air and the forest, the faster and more explosive the fire. Climate science isn't rocket science. By the 1770s, the greenhouse effect was understood in principle. By the 1850s, the heat-retaining characteristics of CO2 had been identified.

Affordable Housing and Groceries Act  It was the first public housing effort ever in Canada. Within months of the Halifax explosion, the governments had created apartments, temporary but serviceable, for 832 people. They had a roof over their heads. It was done quickly and affordably. We are lacking the sense of emergency, particularly for those who are acutely homeless, living rough or living in tents.

Petitions  Revoking the charitable status of pro-life organizations is a first step toward even more tyrannical measures to eradicate the values and principles of Canadians and includes churches, which may be next. Revoking the charitable status of pro-life organizations will result in an explosion in the number of abortions committed in Canada each year. Therefore, the undersigned hereby call upon members of Parliament to do everything in their power to prevent, block, organize against and vote against any effort by the government to revoke the charitable status of pro-life organizations in Canada.

Business of Supply  Those members know that the planet is on fire, but it is to hell with the planet and the truth. At the same time this past week, the International Energy Agency said that the explosive growth in renewables would give us a fighting chance against the 1.5 barrier. It does give us a chance. We are seeing a huge investment in renewables around the world, and yet the Conservative Party, at every level, tries to stop, delay and deny the ability of Canada to participate.
