Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, that is just further proof of how out of touch this government, including the environment minister, is with reality. Canadians across the country are suffering. In Quebec, the carbon tax is having a direct and indirect effect on the cost of groceries, regardless of what the Liberals and the Bloc Québécois are saying.

Carbon Tax  Madam Speaker, after eight years of this Prime Minister, Canadians have never been in such dire straits. Every month, two million Canadians are forced to use food banks simply to be able to feed their families. On April 1, the situation will only get worse. That is when the Liberals will increase the carbon tax again, showing once again how out of touch they are with reality.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, after eight years, Canadians have had enough of this government's inflationary policies and excessive tax rates. The Bloc Québécois fully supports the Liberals when it comes to drastically increasing the carbon tax. Two million Canadians are using food banks each month.

Housing  Mr. Speaker, after eight years under this government, the price of homes has doubled, rent has doubled and this government is not worth the cost. A homeless shelter, the Bercail, in Saint‑George in Beauce, says that it is overwhelmed by requests for rooms in 2024. The government keeps abandoning Canadians when it comes to housing.

Housing  Mr. Speaker, after eight years of this government, housing prices and rent have doubled. According to Cathy Fecteau, the director of Fondation Au Bercail in Saint‑Georges, the number of homeless people has also doubled. Everything has doubled under this Prime Minister, who is not worth the cost.

Housing  Mr. Speaker, that answer proves just how out of touch and asleep at the switch this government is. It needs to get out of the way so municipalities can build affordable housing, just as Victoriaville, Saguenay and Trois-Rivières have done. The community organization Le Bercail has also had to close its shelter in a neighbouring riding because of the lack of housing and resources.

Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act  Mr. Speaker, I will do it right at the outset. I want to take this opportunity to wish a happy Valentine's Day to my wife, Ginette, and to my children, including my eldest, Geneviève, who is celebrating her birthday today. It is always a pleasure to rise in this House. I want to thank the people of Beauce for giving me the privilege of representing them here.

Government Priorities  Mr. Speaker, the Bloc Québécois is keeping the Prime Minister in power even though he broke our immigration system, raised taxes and doubled the national debt. What good is the Bloc Québécois if it does not even do its job as an opposition party, opting instead to side with the government every single time to make Canadians poorer and radically increase the carbon tax?

Carbon Pricing  Madam Speaker, today is the Prime Minister's last opportunity to walk back his April Fool's joke, the carbon tax hike. Canadians are struggling, but the Bloc Québécois wants to drastically increase the carbon tax, which will drive up the cost of gas by 20¢ a litre and have a massive impact on food prices.

Carbon Tax  Mr. Speaker, after eight years, the costly Bloc-Liberal coalition is not worth the cost. This coalition continues to display contempt for farmers by radically increasing the carbon tax and voting to amend our common-sense Bill C-234. From the outset, this government has shown Canadians that it simply does not see farming as a priority.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, after eight years, this Liberal-Bloc Prime Minister is not worth the cost of the carbon tax. Quebec farmers are in revolt against the Prime Minister because they are facing mountains of paperwork, a blatant lack of financial support and the carbon tax, which is crushing the agricultural industry across Canada.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, I would like to suggest to my colleague that he visit Beauce on Friday. Farmers will be protesting. After eight years, this Liberal-Bloc Prime Minister is not worth the cost of the carbon tax. The next generation dreams of getting started in business, but it is suffocating under all the paperwork that keeps piling up, not to mention the skyrocketing interest rates and risk management programs that no longer meet today's challenges.

Carbon pricing.  Madam Speaker, after nine years of this Prime Minister, who is not worth the cost, farmers are making an impassioned plea. This morning, they are protesting in large numbers in Beauce to show their anger at a government that is completely out of touch with reality. Our farmers are being asked to fill our pantries while the Bloc-Liberal coalition is preventing the passage of Bill C-234, which would remove the carbon tax on the propane and natural gas needed to heat buildings and dry grain in order to bring down the cost of food.

Carbon pricing.  Madam Speaker, speaking of people who are out of touch, they are providing a very clear illustration of that this morning. I invite the government and the Bloc Québécois to go to Beauce today to tell the farmers that the carbon tax has no impact in Quebec. I have room in my car if they want to get in after question period.
