People who produce programs—and boy, am I familiar with that—have to time it to the second. Maybe there just wasn't time. The accusation that the media influence political affairs, if that was your point, is probably valid.

The CBC reported that the policy conference instantly degenerated into a leadership contest—a flat lie. I was there.

There was a one-hour program, a Saturday morning program, The House, which I listen to religiously. It's usually an excellent program, and the CBC does extremely well, usually.
