International Trade committee  Canada does not have a strategic petroleum reserve. Norway doesn't have one either, but it doesn't need one because it supplies its own citizens sensibly before it exports surpluses. Western Canada can't supply all of eastern Canadian needs because NAFTA reserves Canadian oil for American security of supply.

International Trade committee  Thank you for inviting me. Parkland Institute is an Alberta-wide research network at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. We're supported by over 600 individuals and dozens of progressive organizations. Parkland conducts research and education for the public good.
