Foreign Affairs committee  Perhaps I may add a little more to that. There are two parties to the conflict. Whether we like it or not, we always have the side that is the LTTE and we have the Sri Lankan government. If you look at the peace process, every time the process happens, it's the Government of Sri Lanka that has abrogated the pact.

Foreign Affairs committee  Yes, it is. Section 9 of the constitution of Sri Lanka explicitly states exactly what the president just read. It's the state's responsibility to protect Buddha Sasana. That's very clearly defined, even now, in the constitution. I think that's been one of the problems that's not been highlighted.
