Foreign Affairs committee  I just want to say that it's our understanding that there are no Canadians caught in the conflict zone, if you're asking about--you're not asking on the consular. There are Canadian NGOs there, but we have to remember that in the UN there are many Canadians, but they are carrying UN passports; they don't identify themselves as being Canadian.

Foreign Affairs committee  Perhaps I'll just add a few comments. A few months ago we heard murmurs from the government about these camps becoming welfare camps, suggesting that they were going to be more permanent. But I think there's been a lot of pressure put on the government to say that this is not the solution, or not the solution the international community would support.
