In particular, under the communications policy of the Government of Canada, we have to do evaluations of all of our marketing activities, the major marketing activities, so we do have plans in place to go back into the field and to assess whether or not levels of knowledge and awareness were attained through some of the marketing activities we've undertaken.

Health committee  No, we do not plan to use mass emails, as you say. After testing out different ideas on a group of Canadians, we decided to prepare an information sheet that is being distributed to 10 million households across Canada. It provides the exact same kind of information. People told us they wanted something tangible that they could put on their bedside table or on the fridge.

Health committee  We're definitely seeing it in Toronto and in Vancouver. There is a big effort on the part of our provincial colleagues to reach out to their communities and to work with the municipalities and local medical officers of health to get information out in a more pertinent and grassroots way than we could federally.
