Human Resources committee  It is pretty much upon the same theme that I want to elaborate. One thing we need to do is recognize that most of the apprentice programs that have been developed are homegrown. Individual utilities or companies saw a need and went out and acted on it. We still face the barrier that we have to get into the schools and convince the kids that these are actually very good jobs.

Human Resources committee  Thank you, Michelle. Our most recent labour market information study has concluded that our electricity sector will have to recruit almost 45,000 new workers, which is about half of the current workforce, by 2016. That's just over three years from now. We do not want to contemplate the impact of not having enough qualified staff to manage this essential industry.
