Finance committee  In budget 2016 the Government of Canada committed to restoring and renewing international assistance to refocus on the poorest and most vulnerable people. Canada has already taken initial steps on a long journey to actively re-engage on the world stage. In September, the Prime Minister successfully hosted the fifth replenishment conference of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.
