Certainly you could look at larger communities like the city of Toronto, like Montreal, like Vancouver, but there's also Truro, Nova Scotia, as a smaller community, and Halifax as well.

Beyond our own research and experience, we've been active in participating in think tanks, engagement sessions and various working groups. We'd like to offer a few high-level recommendations. First, develop a national strategy for urban forests across the country, which could include tree protection policies, minimum percentage of canopy cover and baseline best practices.
