Status of Women committee  I would absolutely agree. Right now, there's a lot of research going on in the States that shows that a large part of the issue in the racialized population, especially Black people, relates to genetics. There's a call for racialized women and Black women to engage in those clinical trials.

Status of Women committee  Thanks for the question. A number of things went on, including a randomized controlled trial, which is supposed to be the gold standard. There were issues with that randomization. There are papers that have shown that to be the case. There were other issues as well as that non-randomization.

Status of Women committee  I'll just start by saying that they did put it in the guidelines. There's been a lot of research done in the States to show that women with dense breasts have at least a four to six times higher risk of getting breast cancer. If you add MRI to supplemental screening, I think you pick up at least 80% more cancers, where in a mammogram it would have been normal.
