Indigenous and Northern Affairs committee  Okay, I'll be two seconds. Our proposed amendment will also inform what is meant by the phrase “best efforts” in Bill C-61. Best efforts means that first nation mothers, children and elders have a right to turn on their taps in their homes and the water that comes out poses no risks to their human health or well-being.

I'd like to thank the chair and the committee members for providing the opportunity for Siksikaitsitapi, the Blackfoot nation, to speak regarding Bill C-61.
