Official Languages committee  In our report on priorities that we table in the House, there is a section that is now devoted to the Roadmap. That is fairly new, is it not, Pablo?

Official Languages committee  It has been a year. We were very much aware of the fact that people were having trouble finding the information. So, we prepared a compendium. One section is devoted to the Roadmap in that report—the Report on Plans and Priorities for the Department of Canadian Heritage.

Also, I think we've reached a greater number of departments with this particular plan in the sense that we are now 15 departments that are actively funded by the road map and that are continuing to delve into this work and, we hope, establish good working relationships with

Official Languages committee  There is a self-assessment that is available. You can use a computer to ascertain your level of bilingualism.

Official Languages committee  No, that is only an initial step, and from there the training that is needed is planned.

Official Languages committee  It is difficult for me to speak for my colleague at Treasury Board, because this is her responsibility. However, I can tell you that the School has made major changes to the way it delivers training. Computers are now used to a much greater extent. People can test themselves and

Official Languages committee  I would say we're halfway there, as we will be publishing our service standards on April 1 on our website, with will give our clientele some certainty. We're also working with them to issue cheques. Eighty per cent of them have received notice that they will be receiving funds.

Official Languages committee  However, that is not all. We must issue the cheque as quickly as possible while ensuring due diligence.
