Canadian Heritage committee  I hear you, and I do want to tell you something else, though. One of our real thrusts at CBC radio since I've started is really trying to work in getting people's creative juices flowing. If you've listened through the summer and at different times, we're really working hard with our producers to get new programs.

Canadian Heritage committee  Specifically concerning the afternoons, first of all we're looking at this program and working with those people very closely. I want to assure you of that. The idea was really to increase local time. That was the idea behind the music show. Canadian Heritage committee  Hello. I don't know about you, but to me, as you scan through your radio in your home or when you're driving--albeit carefully, with your eyes on the road--you don't even have to look at the dial. When it stops on CBC radio, you know you're on the public broadcaster. I think it's important to note too that around the world, our programming is acknowledged as some of the best anywhere.
