As Mr. Phillipson said in his presentation, our projects are sizable, require a great deal of time and energy, and are costly to plan. University research would regress as a direct result. Industry committee  It is always a good idea to review projects after a few years. That being said, we need an extension of at least five to 10 years so that we can see the full results of the projects that are already underway and already bearing fruit.

Bill C-2 (39th Parliament, 1st Session) committee  For CFI, Bill C-2 will not really change anything in our way of doing things. In practice, what will change will be the way in which we will proceed to implement a system that will be a little more bureaucratic than what we have had up until now. We have dwelled on the fact that what is presently proposed will be such that the protection of personal information and privacy by CFI will be trickier for us.
