It is identical in 95% of the world. There are still local requirements that allow a little bit more or a little bit less, but for most of the international travel in the west, the requirements are the same. I don't know what happens in China or in other places of the world, I really don't know, but I assume that if they want to be integrated with and accepted as a part of the international community, they will have to accept the levels that are used in North America, Europe, and South America. They will have to adopt the list of prohibited items.
