This enactment changes the name of the electoral district of Bonavista — Gander — Grand Falls — Windsor to Bonavista — Exploits.

Mr. Speaker, there have been consultations among the parties and I think you would find unanimous consent for the following motion:

That the order for the second reading and reference to the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs of Bill C-366, an act to change the name of the electoral district of Bonavista—Gander—Grand Falls—Windsor, standing in the order of precedence on the order paper in the name of the member for Bonavista—Gander—Grand Falls—Windsor, be discharged and the bill withdrawn.

Employment Insurance Act

moved for leave to introduce BillC-425, an act to amend the Employment Insurance Act (pregnancy benefit).

Mr. Speaker, once again, I want to thank the member for Sackville—Eastern Shore for supporting these bills.

The fifth bill is entitled an act to amend the Employment Insurance Act (pregnancy benefit).

It also provides for the maintaining of benefits payable to the claimant in the case if an illness or injury occurring during pregnancy or during a period of caring for a child.

Madam Speaker, based on the advice of my constituents, I would like to introduce this bill in the House to change the name of the electoral district to its original name, Bonavista--Exploits. I would also like to thank the member for Halton for seconding this bill.
