Certainly.
Right before I left, my husband and I were in our driveway, and our waterline split from our pond to our water. We do high-intensity rotational grazing, so we need that waterline working. I looked at him and said, “You know we don't have to do this, right? We could sell everything tomorrow and our life would be, seemingly, so much easier.” However, it goes back to all your points. This is food security for my community. It's food security across our country. I unequivocally agree with you. This is part of national security.
Now we see what we're facing. The spotlight has moved to agriculture and how it needs to be supported. How do we foster an environment in which young people want to continue to carry on the legacy?
How much time do I have?
