In my region and in many of the regions you cover, it's the same story: Transportation costs are a major obstacle. A shipment of grain can cost around $3,500 in my region, whereas it costs around $700 in a region closer to major urban centres.
How can we help reduce these transportation costs in order to support producers in remote areas? Do you think the government can lend a hand to reduce transportation costs?
