However, the government must ensure its scientific independence. What is the balance? We’ve had past discussions about that, and while we may not always agree on everything, we do get along well.
How can a balance be struck to ensure that the government doesn’t abdicate its responsibility to protect the public and maintain its scientific independence? We can’t ask a business to analyze products that will not be profitable for them and rely solely on these analyses for approval. Do you understand what I’m trying to say?
