Mr. Chair, I have a point of order.
You referred to the tragedy that occurred in Wainwright. The House stands adjourned, and the work of all committees has been suspended, with the exception of this committee. This is something I have never seen before. In my view, this is simply not the day for partisan exchanges with ministers. Four people have died and 39 have been injured, half of whom are in critical condition. Our thoughts are, of course, with the victims and their families, friends, colleagues and loved ones.
Therefore, I believe you will find that there is unanimous consent among committee members to adjourn the meeting and resume it at a later date, with the same number of hours allotted for hearing from the witnesses.
