We have talked about giving more powers to the special mediator. One thing I'd like to talk to you about is clause 322. It would establish a defined special mediator period. A mediation period that is demonstrably moving the parties towards agreement should not automatically terminate because the statutory period expires.
Ms. Bruske, would you support an extension of up to 14 days on a special mediator's written recommendation when meaningful bargaining is under way and additional time would materially help the prospect of a settlement?
