Welcome back to meeting number three of the House of Commons Legislative Committee on Bill C-39.
I have a few comments for the benefit of the new witnesses. Please wait until I recognize you by name before you speak. For those participating by video conference, click on the microphone icon to activate your mic. Please mute yourself when not speaking.
There's an interpretation function at the bottom of your screen that you can use. I want to remind witnesses that committee members may ask questions in either French or English, so please have your interpretation device at the ready. All comments should be addressed through the chair.
I'd like now to welcome our new panel of witnesses. From the Air Line Pilots Association, International, we have Tim Perry, the president of ALPA Canada. From the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies - Canada, we have John Gamble, chief executive officer. On Zoom, from the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, we have David Chartrand, Canadian general vice-president.
Each group will have up to five minutes for their presentation, following which we will have rounds of questions.
Mr. Perry, I will start with you.
