My first question is for Ms. Proulx.
You talked about worthwhile transportation infrastructure. One major project currently on the table is Alto, the high-speed rail line, with a price tag of $130 billion.
Is that project worthwhile enough to justify a $130‑billion investment? Would that $130 billion be better invested in rail infrastructure for moving freight or in ports for shipping goods?
Sooner or later, choices will have to be made. I'd like to hear your thoughts.
