What I want to convey, though, is that coordination.... The Major Projects Office can coordinate between different departments and different agencies, but it does not have a formal approval authority, nor can it actually name and shame those departments that don't come through.
Therefore, what we're asking for is a single window, which the minister can name, that would have the authority, similar to what's in section 1 of the bill on the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, to do the consultation and coordinate any permitting that's outside their direct purview in a single coordinated permit.
