Mark Gerretsen Liberal Kingston and the Islands, ON

No, I was just trying to understand....

9:15 a.m.

Conservative

Ed Fast Conservative Abbotsford, BC

There was unanimous consent, I believe, to go back and hear her.

Mark Gerretsen Liberal Kingston and the Islands, ON

Okay.

The Chair Liberal Deb Schulte

But it was not unanimous to accept the amendment.

Is there any discussion around the table that you'd like to have?

Linda Duncan NDP Edmonton Strathcona, AB

I'd just add that it was my mistake that when I tabled all of NDP-2, I did not explain each one of those provisions in our discussion. I'm simply asking unanimous consent to reconsider that. I have given the argument for including environmental justice.

First of all, we have to agree that we're willing to reconsider it.

The Chair Liberal Deb Schulte

Do we have consent to reconsider?

Some hon. members

No.

The Chair Liberal Deb Schulte

There's no consent, sorry.

We are now on clause 10.

(Clause 10 agreed to)

(On clause 11)

Linda Duncan NDP Edmonton Strathcona, AB

Wait just a second.

The Chair Liberal Deb Schulte

Sorry.

Linda Duncan NDP Edmonton Strathcona, AB

I don't think you want to pass that yet.

The Chair Liberal Deb Schulte

Clause 10 carried.

Linda Duncan NDP Edmonton Strathcona, AB

The Liberals actually want to change the schedule and you've just voted to accept it as it is.

The Chair Liberal Deb Schulte

Wait a minute. We're not there yet. We're only on clause 10.

Linda Duncan NDP Edmonton Strathcona, AB

Yes. It says, “The schedule to the Act is replaced by the schedule set out in the schedule to this Act.”

You've just voted to accept 1, 2, and 3. I think that's the place where the Liberals want to bring their amendment.

The Chair Liberal Deb Schulte

I'm sorry. I was on the wrong page. That's my fault.

“The schedule to the Act is replaced by the schedule set out in the schedule to this Act.”

Linda Duncan NDP Edmonton Strathcona, AB

It's just three points and it doesn't include the National Capital Commission.

The Chair Liberal Deb Schulte

We haven't gotten to the schedule yet.

Linda Duncan NDP Edmonton Strathcona, AB

That's the provision that adopts the schedule.

Mike Bossio Liberal Hastings—Lennox and Addington, ON

The actual schedule is at the end.

The Chair Liberal Deb Schulte

It's just saying that it's replacing it. There's really nothing contentious here that I can see. We've already passed—

Mike Bossio Liberal Hastings—Lennox and Addington, ON

We have to vote on the schedule that's actually going to replace it.

The Chair Liberal Deb Schulte

We voted on it and it was passed. Can we move on to clause 11?

Linda Duncan NDP Edmonton Strathcona, AB

It seems good to me.

(Clauses 11 to 13 inclusive agreed to)

The Chair Liberal Deb Schulte

We have an amendment, LIB-4. Would you like to bring that forward?
