You mentioned several figures on the return on investment in health generally, but do you have the same kind of numbers for investment in prevention? Indeed, according to a common expression, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Do you have any analysis that shows that prevention is much more cost-effective in the long term than just intervening once the damage is done?
Also, would it be possible to direct part of the federal investment to prevention, rather than investing solely in treatment?
