You mentioned in your opening statement that a number of municipalities got an âFâ for their contribution to the cost of housing in the form of policies that hinder development and cater to the Nimbyism within their jurisdictions. You gave one example of costs, I think in the city of Toronto, going from $8,000 to $88,000 per unit.
Can you give some other examples, just so the committee has concrete numbers that Canadians can get their heads around for just how much government adds to the cost of a home?
