They absolutely should, and thank you so much for that question.
I have to say that over the last several months, it's been a joy to communicate with our community about the changes that are coming to the disability tax credit, especially the 45 conditions that will be eligible for that streamlined access. I just did a webinar last week with parents of children with disabilities, especially parents of children with autism and Down's syndrome, and they were absolutely over the moon that they don't have to go through a difficult DTC certification process now. Thank you very much for undertaking that.
These two things work hand in hand if we are going to get benefits into the hands of people. Let's remember that we're talking about thousands and thousands of dollars a year. Whether it's the Canada disability benefit, the benefits that people get from employment income if they are with a disability tax credit, the Canada workers benefit or a disability supplement, these are huge benefits that make a really big difference in the lives of people with disabilities, especially in the economic environment that we're in right now. Making it as easy as possible and including automatic tax filing in it is a huge step in the right direction.
