I want to say thanks to all the witnesses.
Mr. Stapleton, I have some questions for you.
Before I start, I want to acknowledge your 28 years' worth of service to the Ontario government. About 20 years ago, I got to sit in a meeting with you when you were part of a panel that was reviewing Ontario's social assistance program. We talked about “million dollar Murray” and “zero dollar Linda” in a case study you had done. It was quite brilliant work.
I want to say thank you for your many years of service and all the work you've done with the Metcalf Foundation and others. I want to pay my respects to you for a great career and lots of contributions. I really respect your point of view.
Now that I've buttered you up, I want to disagree with you.
