Very briefly, I would say I agree with what has been said. My concrete policy advice would be to be very tough with the Iraqi government because right now Canadian lives are on the line. They cannot shield behind sovereignty. We saw this coming. It's not that these people came out of a desert as it is sometimes portrayed in the press. We knew it was going to happen. We told them. They told us not to worry, that they had everything under control, and then their army melts away.
So if you have Canadian lives at arm's-length, you have a right to be very tough and to demand specific action of the Iraqi government.
