Education and publicity, I think, are good things, because we have a Prime Minister now who says a Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian. That's not true. Some Canadians have additional rights and responsibilities, and half the world doesn't allow dual citizenship at all.
Have there been successful cases where renunciation allowed someone to be released from jail or that sort of thing? Has that worked as a solution?
