I expressed interest in serving Canada. I expressed that to the Prime Minister, who is a former colleague in banking, and that discussion was then moved to the PCO. I don't know who else they considered for the role.
I didn't seek this specific role. I asked the government through PCO where I could help and where my expertise fit. We landed on this role.
