It is indeed important to take into account the realities of each of Canada's manufacturing sectors to reduce this dependence and improve the resilience of the supply chain. This policy needs to be accompanied by support for innovation to improve productivity and innovation within manufacturing companies. It has to be accompanied by other measures, not just a review of public procurement.
