Thank you, Mr. Chair.
I'll bring back into the focus of this standing committee the use of underused and surplus federal lands and buildings for services for veterans. We've made a proposal that we believe would be a success story for everyone. I've heard comments made that would allow us to rethink the project to allow for more wraparound services, which we could partner with Nova Scotia Health on and our federal partners as well.
I'd like to see the committee make a recommendation to proceed with the project we've proposed, because I believe it would become the success story for application across all of Canada, especially in the rural areas.
On a side note, I thought Ms. Fancy was going to make a “small” joke because my name is Robert Small and we were talking about small communities, but as it stands, I guess that wasn't the purpose of her making that chat about Nova Scotia.
