On April 21, 2026, this committee heard testimony from Michael Green, the then CEO of Canada Health Infoway. During his testimony, Mr. Green was asked directly by a member of this committee about his compensation, given reports that the Liberal government paid Canada Health Infoway $300 million for their failed PrescribeIT program. He refused to answer. Instead, he stated that “it is publicly disclosed.”
He repeated this claim moments later, telling the committee that his compensation “is publicly quoted.” Mr. Green made this statement before a parliamentary committee. It was not true.
On Tuesday, May 5, Dr. Peter Vaughan, the chair of Canada Health Infoway's board of directors, confirmed to the committee that Mr. Green's compensation was not publicly available at the time of his April 21 appearance. An archived version of Infoway's website from March 11, 2026, confirms there was no compensation disclosure posted.
Furthermore, the metadata of the earliest version of the disclosure document reviewed by this committee indicates that it was created on April 24, three days after Mr. Green testified.
Mr. Chair, let me be clear on what happened. A witness appeared before this committee. He was asked a direct question about his salary. Given that it's funded by Canadian taxpayers—
