I'm doing my best to make sense of everything I'm hearing, and I'm trying to understand what is actually happening. I'm really disappointed. I think I've started to figure out what is happening.

I remember when the Prime Minister said that they were going to get their majority and that this would mean there would be fewer procedural games at committee. However, I think we are seeing proceduralist games, the gamiest of games. We have—

As the chair, I will tell you, Dr. Strauss, that there is no procedural game right now. There is an amendment brought by Mr. Mazier. I will not take you calling that a game. I take this HIV topic very seriously, and I take the amendment brought forward by Mr. Mazier very seriously. Let's focus on that.

I'll describe the text again. I wrote it out for myself as, “to discuss health-related funding and programs under the purview of Health Canada.”

I think it's an important subamendment because, ultimately, what has come out of these Twitter statements.... I won't mention the G word again, but it seems to me that there's going to be disagreement about what the health minister is coming to do. If the health minister is coming to do the things Dr. Eyolfson assured everyone on Twitter she would be coming to do, that's terrific.

I think this is a very clarifying subamendment. Hopefully, everyone will support it.
