Yes. I think it should be informal, similar to the processes for officers of Parliament, which I believe are somewhat informal but do require a general concurrence or a consensus. I don't think we should be voting in the House on who the next Governor General ought to be. I think that's unseemly, and I don't think it's appropriate. I think it would be embarrassing, quite frankly, for potential candidates for the office.
