Good morning. Welcome to the 69th meeting of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs. For a couple of minutes, we're going to be in public.

I want to recognize that we are sorely missing our colleague, Arnold Chan. We've left his name tag up for this meeting. He made many contributions and people should refer to the many tributes that were given in the House. Mr. Christopherson made an eloquent presentation on his contributions to this committee. I was amazed that when we would be at an impasse he would take people out of the room and they would come back and not be at an impasse. He was very collegial and had very good, smart, and creative ideas.

I don't know if anyone else wants to say anything, but the whole committee misses Arnold. We'll keep that in mind. His suggestion to us to listen to what others have to say no matter what party they're from I think was wise counsel to us all, so we can have productive proceedings. We'll try to keep that in mind in our committee in deference to Arnold.

Now, we will suspend for a short time to go in camera for the rest of the meeting.
