We're proud to say that in 2025-26, the 20 rooms we have were open all year. We're all very proud of that. It's taken a lot of work, but it's a huge success for us.
Thanks to the Reaching Home program, for example, we were able to keep four rooms open. Basically, when we got a positive answer, it was as if we'd been given a bit of breathing room. Otherwise, the wait time would have gone from three to six months to five or eight months. That would've been unbearable for our team. That represents four bedrooms for us. There are funding uncertainties, and we can't close these rooms overnight. It's never easy for the team.
Thanks to these rooms, we've had many small successes in recent years. I think we need to slightly redefine what constitutes a success. Over the past few weeks, we were very proud to go and visit someone at her home. She's now living in low-income housing after spending some time with us. We're always very proud of those cases.
