The process of developing legislation, even if we say we are codeveloping it, it is always flawed.
We saw that with Bill C-92 for child welfare. We saw that with languages, and we saw that with the UNDRIP bill, and so there's never a perfect process in which everybody gets what they want, but we do, at the very least, expect to be properly engaged. In this case I, as National Chief, have definitely not felt fully engaged in the development of this legislation, so that's a problem.
